This summer program is designed in memory of Mary Miller, a community leader and activist, youth advocate and educator who demonstrated courage and commitment to service by creating an opportunistic platform where youth could entertain their dreams through academic achievement, personal development and career success.

The PHC Group Summer Program offers talented high school rising/seniors an opportunity to go beyond the classroom to develop leadership skills and gain meaningful and tangible experience as part of a global team in a paid internship. Interns will participate in scheduled activities throughout the summer, engaging in team projects with senior leadership and exploring independent interests that support PHC Group’s mission.

 Job Description

Under the guidance of the Public Health Director, Interns will actively assist the team via social media-related projects, online community interaction and technical support. Interns will be invited to explore creative approaches to (virtual) collaboration and relationship building; and expected to responsibly exercise authority utilizing property and interfacings for the purpose of PHC Group’s mission, only.

 Key Tasks

  • Attend planning meetings for collaborative exchange

  • Craft unique and thoughtful posts and responses for each interaction on various social media platforms

  • Engage in meaningful social marketing research via trending and analyses and contribute to planning discussions

  • Monitor social interactions and conduct trending, analyses, and reporting

  • Contribute to a results-driven atmosphere with awareness to account for performance and a high degree of situational awareness for all clients

  • Implement suggestions from clients and other team members promptly and effectively to ensure timely feedback 

Qualifications:

  • An active and registered high school junior or senior as of 2022-2023 school year

  • Steadfast principles and strong moral character

  • Excellent work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn

  • Possess Microsoft Office knowledge (i.e. WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint) and demonstrate technical aptitude to learn new applications quickly

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, efficiently, and effectively

  • Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and verbal communications skills

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship
